_________________________

Phantasie II is the sequel to the role-playing game Phantasie. Nothing has changed substantially: the gameplay and the graphics are identical to Phantasie. The adventuring party travels from town to town using a overview map of the countryside. There are many dungeons to explore and many different monsters to battle.

Again the Dark Lord Nikademus is the players' evil opponent, having fashioned an evil orb and cast a curse on the beautiful island of Ferronrah, enslaving its people. The players' mission is to find and destroy the evil orb.

Description from the packaging:

For no reason other than to embellish his title, the Dark Lord Nickademus fashioned an evil orb. With it, he cast a curse on a beautiful island and enslaved its people. Now, six travellers brave his wrath to find and destroy his nefarious handiwork in... Phantasie II.
A new adventure begins...

...in this sequel to Phantasie, one of the most popular role-playing adventure games ever made!
Your quest to remove the evil warlock's curse will be no easy task since there are precious few clues. All you know is that locating the orb requires a danger-filled search of a vast wilderness and of dungeons, a trip to the Astral Plane and the Netherworld- wherever they are.
You command a band of one to six adventurers, each endowed with the skills of a monk, priest, wizard, ranger, thief, or fighter.

If you've played the original Phantasie, you can transfer those same characters to this game. If you haven't, don't worry: you can always start with new characters. In any case, you can recruit new members to replace unneeded or fallen comrades.
During this quest, you'll help your heroes gather treasure, solve puzzles, learn spells, and battle the Dark Lord's countless hordes.

With all these magical distractions and obstructions, don't forget that finding the orb will do you no good. You'll still have to find a way to destroy it!
You may use your characters from Phantasie I.
A small section of the wilderness you must explore.
Your recruits from the Adventurers' Guild can range from human to Minotaur.
Your band has found Pluto's Palace in the Netherworld!
In mapping out a maze-like dungeon, your adventurers are attacked by evil Kobolds.
One of your group inflicts damage on a Devil!
